THE COCK AND BOTTLE, SKIPTON

It's been a busy week for this Yorkshire wedding singer. Saturday was my final day off before a massive run of weddings as the wedding season gets into full swing. This past weekend I spent time singing at The Cock and Bottle pub in Skipton on Friday night. There's a great crowd in there and the owner regularly has live music on a Friday night. The crowd are used to it so they were really responsive once numbers picked up later into the evening. I like to broadcast many of my public gigs on Facebook Live. You can catch the first set on my facebook page.

WEDBARN WEDDING FAIR

On Sunday I made my way over to Halifax to a brand new venue called the WedBarn. The WedBarn is a family run farm at the top of Sowerby Bridge and they were running an open day to invite couples to come and look around and talk to suppliers. I got in touch and offered my services as a Yorkshire wedding singer. The setting is absolutely beautiful (look at the pictures below). Because the venue is set at the top of a hill you are overlooking some of West Yorkshire's most beautiful landscapes. They have a tipi available for couples' use and a sizeable barn which can cater for up to 120 guests as well as a hot tub which ought to be a real puller. It was great to be a part of the day and have lots of good conversations with couples about their wedding days.

This is a venue I would highly recommend if you're looking for something a little more rustic.

The wedding season is about to kick off so expect lots more blog posts about some of the beautiful venues I'll be visiting and the fabulous couples I will be singing for.
