The Lowry Weddings, Salford Quays
The Lowry Theatre, Salford Quays

I do get to see some amazingly wonderful venues in my job. I also get to work with some lovely couples too. By the time I arrived at The Lowry Theatre on Salford Quays this Saturday evening it was clear that this party was going to be a big one. You can usually tell within the first five minutes of walking into a room how the party is going to go down. Robyn and Anthony's guests were bustling, laughing, walking around, drinking and enjoying the sites overlooking the Quays toward media city which houses the BBC and ITV headquarters.

The theatre room is a large circular room with windows surrounding the outside bringing in the baking sunlight that had graced their special day.

I arrived to set up and after I'd done so I sang a few songs while the guests listened before heading into the first dance, All Of Me by John Legend. This was followed by a couple of lively sets of upbeat party music to get people on the dance floor. Robyn had specifically asked for some "Cheesy 90s hits" which were provided by a young guest who made his way over to me several times to suggest hits that I'd forgotten even existed. "Boom Boom Boom Boom" by The Vengaboys, Cotten Eyed Joe by Rednex and Follow Me by Uncle Kracker were all requested. Great songs and fabulous party tunes.

Robyn and Anthony are such a lovely couple, they treated me so well, made sure I had everything I needed and were really grateful for the songs I'd sung for them on their special day.

Many congratulations to the happy couple. Their highlight reel is below which shows some of the sweet moves that were on display from some of the guests.
