Halifax has quietly become one of Yorkshire’s most exciting wedding destinations. Once known mainly for its industrial past, the town has transformed — thanks in no small part to The Piece Hall, which has turned the town centre into a hub of culture, food and live events. For me, being from nearby Bradford, it’s brilliant to see Halifax coming into its own.
I'm Steven Heath, an indie wedding guitarist and singer who performs regularly around Halifax wedding venues, bringing live acoustic and looping music to couples who love alternative and indie sounds.

The Arches at Dean Clough – A dream for couples who love that industrial-romantic look. The exposed brick, fairy lights and open layout make it a stunning setting for live music. I’ve filled this space with everything from acoustic ceremony songs to upbeat evening loop-pedal sets.
Holdsworth House – This one’s pure elegance. I’ve sung beneath the beams of its Jacobean halls and out in the gardens on sunny days. It’s perfect for couples who want classic romance with a personal touch.
Bowers Mill – A hidden gem near Barkisland, where I’ve played for laid-back, rustic weddings surrounded by the sound of running water and the clinking of glasses.
