Jonathan and Kerry approached me in early 2017 to discuss what I could offer to compliment their boho farm wedding at Skipbridge Country Weddings near York. This is a venue that regularly uses my services and I have developed a package which specifically works for their site. Couples who hire me as their York wedding singer for Skipbridge weddings get a very tailored package which is completely different to normal wedding entertainment.
The couple decided to hire me for the entire day so we met to go through their requirements. Kerry asked me to secretly learn a song for walking down the aisle, the James Bay rendition of Your Love Is Lifting Me Higher as it was Jonny’s all time favourite.
Skipbridge Country Weddings has several on site locations where guests can be occupied in different activities including garden games, a large picturesque field with benches, a hobbit hole for tea and coffee, a fire pit and The Grain Silo where Whiskey is served after 9pm. The plan was to maximise this space using multiple sound systems. In the evening music would be playing in the main tent after I had finished my initial early set. After this it allowed me time to step away from the tent and into the other areas of the site using my battery powered amplifier. This meant we could sit around the fire pit or have a sing a long together in the whiskey shack which we did.
